Barrackpore Kalamandir is an institute of dance and yoga which has started its journey in the year 1990. Under the headship of Guru Shri Goutam Dey, the dance department imparts training on Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Rabindra Nritya, Folk Dance and other creative dance forms. The yoga department is headed by Guru Shrimati Jhumki Dey.

Barrackpore Kalamandir has come a long way, which has participated in multiple programs and events all over the country. The Guru himself has travelled and performed in over 8 countries in the USA. With a present strength of 300 students, the institute is in its 35th year.
